How to Make Korean-style Braised Potatoes

  1. Preparation of products. Peel the potatoes, carrot, onion, and garlic. Cut the potatoes into cubes, the carrot into thin strips, the onion into half rings, and mince the garlic.
  2. Frying the vegetables. In a pan with a little heated oil, fry the onion until golden. Add the carrot and continue frying for another 5 minutes. Then add the potatoes and fry everything together for another 10 minutes.
  3. Adding spices. Add minced garlic, red pepper, sugar, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Stir all the ingredients and continue frying for another 5 minutes.
  4. Stewing. After frying, reduce the heat to a minimum, cover the pan with a lid and stew the vegetables until the potatoes are ready, about 15-20 minutes. If necessary, you can add a little water.
  5. Serving. Serve the Korean-style braised potatoes hot, sprinkled with greens.
