- 1 kg of potatoes,
- 4 hard-boiled eggs,

How to Make American Potato Salad
- Boil the potatoes in their skins in salted water until done (about 20-30 minutes). Check the readiness of the potatoes by piercing them with a fork - they should be soft but not falling apart.
- At the same time, in a separate pot, boil the eggs until they are hard-boiled (about 9-12 minutes after boiling).
- When the potatoes and eggs are ready, let them cool. Then peel the potatoes and eggs.
- Cut the potatoes into cubes, the eggs into small pieces, and the onion into thin half-rings.
- In a large bowl, mix the mayonnaise, mustard, and vinegar. Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the potatoes, eggs, and onion to the bowl. Mix thoroughly so that all the ingredients are covered in the sauce.
- Before serving, garnish the salad with green onions or dill.
