How to Make Pork Dumplings

  1. Preparing the dough: In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Gradually add warm water, stirring until a dough forms. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. Let the dough rest under a cover for 30 minutes.
  2. Preparing the filling: In a blender or meat grinder, grind the pork, onion, and garlic until smooth. Mix the meat mixture with salt, pepper, and water.
  3. Forming the dumplings: Divide the dough into small pieces and roll each into a thin circle about 10 cm in diameter. Place a small amount of filling in the center of each circle. Fold the circle in half, forming a crescent, and pinch the edges to seal the dumpling.
  4. Cooking the dumplings: In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the dumplings and cook them over medium heat for about 10-15 minutes until they float to the surface.
  5. Serving: Serve the dumplings hot, sprinkled with herbs and with a sauce of your choice.
