How to Make New Potatoes Baked Whole in an Oven Bag
- Preparing the potatoes. Thoroughly wash the new potatoes under running water using a soft brush to remove any remaining soil. There's no need to peel the potatoes.
- Preparing the butter. Melt the butter and mix it with minced garlic.
- Seasoning the potatoes. Put the potatoes in a large bowl, add the garlic butter, salt, pepper, and chopped herbs. Mix well so that each potato is covered with butter and spices.
- Baking. Transfer the potatoes to the oven bag, distributing them evenly along its length. Tie the bag at both ends. Make a few small holes on the top of the bag to let the steam out during baking.
- Cooking in the oven. Place the bag with potatoes on a baking sheet and put it in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius (around 392 degrees Fahrenheit). Bake for about 40-50 minutes. The time may vary depending on the size of the potatoes and the power of the oven.
- Serving. Carefully remove the potatoes from the bag onto a dish, avoiding contact with hot steam. Serve hot.
