How to Make New Potatoes Baked Whole in an Oven Bag

  1. Preparing the potatoes. Thoroughly wash the new potatoes under running water using a soft brush to remove any remaining soil. There's no need to peel the potatoes.
  2. Preparing the butter. Melt the butter and mix it with minced garlic.
  3. Seasoning the potatoes. Put the potatoes in a large bowl, add the garlic butter, salt, pepper, and chopped herbs. Mix well so that each potato is covered with butter and spices.
  4. Baking. Transfer the potatoes to the oven bag, distributing them evenly along its length. Tie the bag at both ends. Make a few small holes on the top of the bag to let the steam out during baking.
  5. Cooking in the oven. Place the bag with potatoes on a baking sheet and put it in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius (around 392 degrees Fahrenheit). Bake for about 40-50 minutes. The time may vary depending on the size of the potatoes and the power of the oven.
  6. Serving. Carefully remove the potatoes from the bag onto a dish, avoiding contact with hot steam. Serve hot.
